How To Program an Onn Universal Remote Without Codes

The auto search method involves scanning all universal remote codes in order to find the correct code that will work with your remote. Each code is scanned at a time to find out which code match to program the control. Follow these steps as written below:

1. “Turn On” the device, such as your TV, In order to operate the universal remote to program it.
2. “Turn On” the remote, tap on the device button (TV, DVD, CBL, and OK/SEL) for 3 seconds.
3. The LED light indicates the device is ready to program.
4. Simply point the remote at the device and click on “CH+” & “CH-.”. It will show on/off. Keep pressing “up” or “down” till the device turns off.
5. Click on the “power” key to verify the code. Make sure the device is on.
6. If it starts, switch channels to verify the remote is programmed correctly.
